'Codex Users'

Developer​

The engineer who integrates Codex into your RAG application. Most of this documentation website is for the Developer.

Role: Set up and configure Codex, integrate Codex with your RAG application.

Subject Matter Expert (SME)​

Somebody who inputs answers into Codex Project through the Web Interface. SMEs do not require any technical experise, but should know what is the desired answer for user queries to your RAG application. Typically SMEs might be the same people who create/maintain the documents/data that comprise your RAG app’s Knowledge Base.

The SME can also be the same person as the Developer. Codex is useful for one-person teams, as long as your RAG app gets queries that sometimes resemble other queries.

Role: Enter and manage answers in Codex Project for user queries.

User​

An end-user of your RAG application who asks queries that your RAG application provides responses for. Codex is most useful for RAG apps where users sometimes ask queries that are similar to past queries.
